Parish day 2009

The St. Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church, Vienna, organized special events to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the church coupled with its annual “Talents Day”. The one full day programme was arranged in the premises of the Florisdorfer Kirche on Saturday, 31 October 2009. The forenoon was devoted to competitions for various items like, single song, group song, bible story telling, extempore speech, etc. for the children of the St. Mary’s Sunday School as well as for the adult members.

The public meeting arranged in connection with the 20th anniversary celebrations of the church took place in the afternoon. Rev. Fr. Biju Parekattil, Vicar of the church, chaired the meeting. While Mr. George Padickakudy, Lay Secretary of the diocese inaugurated the event, Chev. Kuriakose Thadathil, Sunday School Director, offered felicitations. The Managing Committee of the Church and Mr. Eldo Palpath, Headmaster of the St. Mary’s Sunday School were behind the two-hour long cultural and devotional programmes, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
